Scouts (ages 11-14)
Scouts are youth aged 11-14 take meaningful control of leading their adventure; camping, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking and more. The Scout motto is: Be Prepared.
Join our Scout Troop:
Scouts take control of their unique experience through exploring the outdoor adventure skills, leading their multi-day camps, building their own campfires, canoeing on lakes and moderate rivers, earning their axe and saw permit and implementing Leave No Trace. Community service is also an important element of Scouts, instilling a sense of civic pride and duty.
The 1st Wawa Scouts have many opportunities to build adventure into their camps in all seasons (yes, we camp in the winter!) as well as learning how to survive and thrive outdoors, work efficiently and effectively as a small team (patrol) and support the adventure goals of everyone in the troop.
